Important Travel Update – Brentwood High Street Closure

From Monday 15th September 2025, Brentwood High Street will be closed to all traffic for six weeks while Cadent upgrades the old metal gas pipes beneath the road.

• Where? The closure will run from the junction of Kings Road to the junction of Ongar Road.
• When? From Monday 15th September for approximately six weeks.
• Diversions: Traffic will be redirected via Queens Road and Kings Road.

Please allow extra time for school runs, after-school activities, and weekend journeys, as the closure is expected to cause delays in and around the town centre.
