Parents’ House Reading Competition 2025/26

In 2023, our librarians introduced the Parents’ House Reading Competition to our House events. Since its launch, Hartswood has led the way, but the gap is closing…. and last term North came a very close second. A special shout-out goes to Dr Lucy B-Q (Hartswood) who has set the bar high by reading eight books over the summer!

At Brentwood, we believe reading should be something we all share and celebrate. By inviting parents to join the fun, we’re hoping to spark even more book-chat across the community – all in the build up to the National Year of Reading in 2026.

Any books you read over the summer count – so you can start entering straight away. Please fill in one entry form per book and please note that to preserve the integrity of the competition, in this age of AI generated content, we appreciate your original thoughts and ideas.

Here is the entry form which requires a short review and a star rating for each book.

The closing date this term will be Wednesday, 3rd December @ 4pm. The competition then re-starts for the Lent term.

Thank you so much for your participation.
