Year 1 and the KS2 Goblin Racers

Year 1 finished their PYP inquiry, ‘communities make efforts to create transportation systems that meet their needs’ with a wonderful and engaging talk and live demonstration of the Goblin racers, led by talented KS2 and Prep alumni KS3 students.

The younger children were fascinated as they watched the racers in action and learned more about how the goblin cars were designed and built to meet specific needs.

A highlight of the day was when Cooper and Rupert, the two birthday boys, were lucky enough to enjoy a short ride in a Goblin racer, powered by some enthusiastic Year 6 students. Smiles and cheers filled the air as they experienced the thrill of the ride firsthand.

It was a fantastic way to bring their learning to life and celebrate their understanding of how communities create transportation systems to serve people effectively. Thank you to Mrs Blee and the Goblin Racers Club for making this opportunity possible for Year 1.
