We are seeking a skilled and creative Digital Production Engineer to manage, design and implement all sound and recording requirements for our thriving Music Department throughout a busy annual co-curricular programme. This role sits at the heart of a busy annual co-curricular programme and includes overseeing the recording studio, managing and maintaining audio equipment, recording and live streaming concerts, and producing high-quality digital content to enhance the department’s online presence and marketing portfolio.
The successful candidate will play a role in shaping the strategic direction of the Music Department, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovative music and editing technologies. They will advise on software and hardware developments, train and support staff and students in music technology skills, and contribute to the digital production needs of Drama, Dance and other school productions. The role also includes supporting the Communications team through small editing projects and delivering training in relevant recording and editing software.
In addition, the Digital Production Engineer will provide digital production support to the wider school community, including assemblies, chapel services and whole-school events. This is a 37.5-hour-per-week position, working 40.6 weeks per year (35 weeks during term time plus 5.6 weeks during school holidays). Several evening commitments are required each month to support performing arts events, with time off in lieu agreed with the line manager.
