We believe Science has the power to unlock pupils’ curiosity, imagination, and critical thinking, inspiring them to question, explore, and pursue the “truth” through evidence-based learning. From the atomic to the infinite, excellent Science teaching equips children not only with knowledge but also with the skills to challenge, create, and apply their learning across real-world contexts. Through an engaging curriculum enriched by co-curricular opportunities, trips, and enrichment activities, our pupils are encouraged to see Science everywhere – in the classroom, in the playground, and in their everyday lives.

The Head of Science (Prep) plays a pivotal role in shaping this vision, leading with confidence and creativity to deliver outstanding Science education across ages 3–11. Working collaboratively as part of the STEAM group and alongside colleagues in other key areas, they foster cross-curricular connections, champion high-quality teaching, and support colleagues’ professional growth. With a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration, the Head of Science ensures that every pupil experiences a dynamic and inspiring introduction to Science, setting the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
