A Broad Curriculum to Promote a Love of Learning
The International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and mission seamlessly aligns with the values and vision of Brentwood School. Our Prep pupils benefit from the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), which offers a child-centred approach to equip them with the skills and dispositions to become independent learners with a strong moral foundation and excellent interpersonal skills.
In the Senior School, our academic curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning. With 28 GCSE subjects available, students can create a personalised curriculum path, ensuring a balanced selection of subjects that are valued in the Sixth Form and by universities and employers.
At Sixth Form, we provide 26 A Level subject choices, offering flexibility to accommodate most combinations of options tailored to your strengths and interests. We design the timetable around your choices to support your individual needs. We are proudly ranked as a top 10 UK IB School and offer the Pre-IB pathway for high-achieving, ambitious students. Additionally, we provide the BTEC National Extended Diploma, specialising in Sport or Business, with a focus on vocational skills and continuous assessment.

Inclusive Academic Enrichment
Our extensive academic enrichment programme provides a wide range of opportunities for students and instils a thirst for knowledge that remains beyond their time at Brentwood.
Our enrichment activities aim to encourage students with a particular subject passion and focus on broadening interests and knowledge. Our enrichment provision is inclusive and all students can participate in activities and clubs they might find interesting. There really is something for everyone.
We offer full and weekly boarding for 13 to 18-year-olds in our new Boarding House where experienced husband and wife teams ensure the best possible care for all the boarders.
The School benefits hugely from our boarders’ rich mixture of backgrounds – we are a truly international community.
