Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 35 minutes from London Liverpool Street.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Cricket Groundsman to prepare and maintain our various sports playing surfaces to a high standard and prepare and maintain high-quality cricket pitches and associated grounds, ensuring they are safe, well presented, and in optimal condition for training and match play throughout the season.
Cricket is considered a focus sport at Brentwood School and, as such, each square gets a considerable amount of usage during the season. In 2026, the four squares were used for approximately 25 games each, as well as 20 hours of practice.
The school strives to produce high-quality wickets and has ambitions of being able to host representative cricket such as county age-group matches. An understanding of how to produce wickets to Premier League club standard would be advantageous.
