Hi Everyone,

We hope you are all well and keeping active. Where has the lovely sunshine gone?!

It looks like you have all been busy over the last week. We have seen some brilliant photos and videos of you in action. The Tennis challenge posted last Friday was very popular - fantastic to see so many of you take part in this challenge - a very skilled bunch!

Well done to Lily (Y3) and Georgia-Rose (Y1) who ran a socially distant 2 mile ‘rainbow run’ for the NHS. The girls have raised over £1,800, a fantastic way to help the community and raise money for a great cause. A HUGE well done girls - you should be very proud of yourselves.

A special mention also goes to Albie (Y4) and Aryan (Y4) who are currently taking part in a fantastic challenge with their local rugby team (Upminster). As a team they are attempting to cover the distance from Lands End to John O’Groats in 10 days, a wapping 874 miles!!! They can either walk, scoot, run or cycle and so far have raised £1,885 for GOSH. Very impressed boys - we wish you the best of luck and look forward to hearing how it went.

Remember to keep following the Twitter challenges that are uploaded on a Monday and Friday - we love seeing you all taking part. Our U11A Football ‘dream team’ have been busy in the garden with toilet rolls and footballs - check out the School social media to see them in action!

A very positive start to PE lessons this week, we are glad you are enjoying the lessons and continuing to develop your skills. Keep up the good work.

We have further increased our Co-Curricular offer via ACES Online to include some Zoom clubs! Whilst these aren’t all sports related, there are some further exciting optional opportunities for you to try if you wish to do so. All of the new details will be added to an updated ACES Online brochure and emailed to parents, with details for joining the meeting posted in the Challenge Google Classroom.

Finally on clubs, well done to all of you who have signed up for a free membership with ChessKids - it has been good to see you learning and playing online throughout the week. If any new pupils would like to join, the details are in the PE Google Classroom.

As always, keep well, stay active and stay safe!

Best wishes,

The Prep PE Department
