Congratulations to Alex L who has been offered a place on the Guildhall School Young Composers Course. The course, which starts next week, is another avenue for Fourth Year Alex's outstanding musicianship to flourish.
The Young Composers Course is a unique opportunity for composers aged 14-18 to receive one-to-one tutoring and hear their own composition performed by staff and students from Junior Guildhall and Guildhall School. The course, which will take place over Zoom, is designed for students working towards GCSE or A Level Music and/or students hoping to enhance their composition skills outside of an exam environment.
The world of music is all about collaboration, and Brentwood School's own partnership with Junior Guildhall, part of the world-renowned London-based Guildhall School of Music & Drama, moved up a gear last week when teaching started with earnest. This exciting collaboration sees Junior Guildhall offering its highly successful Kindergarten Course and String Training Programme at Brentwood School using the department’s excellent facilities.
