Juliette, who is in Year 9, started playing the trombone when she was nine-years-old and securing a seat with the NCO is no mean feat. She also plays piano and away from music, is a member of the School’s Ski Team.

Brentwood School Director of Performing Arts and Director of Music, Mr Florian Cooper, said: “‘We are delighted to hear that Juliette has been awarded a place in the NCO and know that it is testament to her prestigious talent and tremendous work ethic. Juliette is one of the rising stars of Brentwood Music and as a trombonist, follows in the footsteps of many former pupils who are leading some of the best orchestras in the world!”

The NCO supports 8-14 year olds to be happy & healthy through transformative orchestral experiences. It brings together over 650 remarkable young musicians in three National Symphony Orchestras for residential orchestral activity and in four regional Projects ensembles for non-residential orchestral weekends.
