Brentwood School swimmers had an incredible day at the ESSA National finals which were held at the iconic London Aquatics Centre on Saturday 19th November. Brentwood School qualified in four events against the best swimming schools in the country.
The junior girls’ team of Ellie B-W, Eloise M, Ore J (all Year 7) and Tierney H (Year 8) achieved 24th place in the freestyle relay, improving their time by 1 second! In the medley relay, they achieved 23rd place, again improving their overall ranking. The senior boys’ team of Jacob S, Angus R, Josh W (all U6) and Rory W (Year 11) also produced impressive results improving their ranking to 26th in the medley relay and 28th in the freestyle relay.
Director of Sport, Mr Neil Gamester, said: "To have two teams in the national final is an excellent achievement so well done to the students and Mrs Watson for all their hard work."
