ECF Junior Team Challenge 2023

Brentwood School hosted a Junior Team Challenge tournament on behalf of the English Chess Federation (ECF) on 2nd February. 

The team competition was for students in Years 7 and 8. Three teams from Brentwood School were joined by two teams from KEGS and one team from Brentwood County High School.

By the end of round one, every biscuit and cake had been devoured. By the end of the five-round, all-play-all competition, Brentwood School Year 8s were the winners ahead of KEGS A.

Brentwood School now goes forward to the National Final, which is taking place in Newcastle in March.

Thanks go to our older Brentwood School students who managed our Year 7 teams and kept track of all the results.
