There’s not a star in heaven Brentwood School’s Performing Arts Department can’t reach as they will prove when they mark the end of term by producing a musical in a day!

In just 24 hours, a team of Lower Sixth creatives will project manage a production of High School Musical putting a cast of 80 plus students, from Year 9 through to Upper Sixth, through their paces.

Rehearsals will begin this Wednesday (5th July) at 6pm and conclude 24 hours later with curtain up in the School’s prestigious Wessex Auditorium. Brentwood School’s Director of Music & Performing Arts, Mr Florian Cooper, said: “Frankly, we have no idea what is going to happen, but one thing is for sure - that it will be exciting, fun and a true end of year pick-me-up”.

As well as stretching Brentwood’s intrepid performers, the 24-hour challenge will raise funds for Compass Collective, a charity focused on using Arts education to help with the integration of young refugees and asylum seekers.

Tickets for a Musical in a Day are available through TryBooking.
