National Youth Theatre Success

The Performing Arts Department is incredibly proud to share that six Brentwood School Drama students have been accepted into the National Youth Theatre (NYT).

Our inspiring Drama students will join the company this summer as they take part in workshops across the country.

Three students have also been added to the reserve list, which is a huge achievement, as NYT is a highly competitive programme, with over 6000 applicants to 700 places. 

NYT gives the students invaluable training until age 25 with some of the UK’s leading professional directors, writers, producers, designers and stage managers.

Innovative Performing Arts staff arranged an audition at Brentwood School, which two NYT ambassadors attended to lead a three-hour workshop and one-to-one auditions, where each student performed their chosen monologue and were given a short interview.

We are incredibly proud of all our students that took part, for their hard work, dedication and professionalism. It is a rigorous process and we are honoured to have so many successful NYT students, proving what a creative, talented and unique cohort we have here at Brentwood School.
